John Bailey is a native of Schuyler, Nebraska, graduating from Schuyler High School is 1999. He was a three year starter and letter-winner for the Warriors, earning All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-State honors in 1999. He attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha, graduating in 2004 with a degree in Business Administration-Business Management.

Coach Bailey returned to Schuyler Central High School in 2006 and has been a mainstay in the Warriors success. During his tenure on the staff, the Warriors have a record of 80-30, winning two district championships and were the 2011 Class B State Runner-up. Under his guidance, Schuyler Central has had one player named to the All-Nebraska team, six players have earned All-State honors and three players have played in the Nebraska Shrine Soccer Classic.

Coach Bailey is also active in the youth soccer scene in Columbus, serving as one of the coaches for the Columbus United boys soccer team. Coach Bailey is the Warehouse Manager for QC Supply in Schuyler, and is married to his wife, Casey. Coach Bailey has three children, Chance (8), Maclain (5) and Kennedy (21 months).
