Lexington Center

The Lexington Center is located at 1501 Plum Creek Parkway in Lexington, in the Dawson County Opportunity Center.

The center is open 8 a.m.-9 p.m., Monday-Friday and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturdays.

 The Learning Center manager is available Noon to 4 p.m. and 5-9 p.m., Monday-Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Facilities include:

  • A learning center.
  • A computer lab.
  • A distance learning classroom.

The center provides educational opportunities to Buffalo, Dawson, Gosper and Furnas counties. It currently serves the following communities:

  • Arapahoe
  • Beaver City
  • Cambridge
  • Cozad
  • Elwood
  • Elm Creek
  • Farnam
  • Gothenburg
  • Kearney
  • Lexington
  • Overton
  • Sumner

 Educational opportunities available through the center include:

  • College credit classes through the Community Education program.
  • Individualize college credit classes through learning centers in Arapahoe, Beaver City, Cambridge, Cozad, Gothenburg, and Lexington
  • Classes offered through distance learning technology
  • Avocational-recreational classes
  • Adult Education
  • GED high school equivalency diploma classes and testing
  • English as a Second Language classes
  • Certificate, diploma, and degree programs
  • Business and professional training.
  • EMT training
  • American Heart Association CPR
