Dr. Smith, CCC PresidentS tudent veterans, service members, and family members,

I am proud and honored to welcome you to Central Community College. We serve more than 5,000 students annually and provide an affordable, accessible, and welcoming learning environment and support services to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.

As a U.S. Army Veteran who benefited from the “G.I. Bill,” I can personally attest to the importance of veterans support services and a welcoming atmosphere. Through our Veterans Resource Centers our goal is to provide you with the resources, support and advocacy you need to be successful in the classroom and ultimately in life.

As president of Central Community College, I am joined by our world-class faculty and staff in our continuous efforts to make Central Community College the best community college in the country.

We are known for providing a student-centered environment and for our focus on student learning, student development, and student success. Central Community College is a place where your dreams can come true – limited only by your imagination and your commitment to learning. We encourage you to think big as you plan for your own future and work toward your own vision of personal success. We will not be satisfied until you achieve your educational goals and we hope that you won’t be either.

I also have a personal request. As veterans, you know the importance of leadership. I ask you to take a leadership role at Central Community College by mentoring younger students and by setting an example in pursuit and successful completion of your educational goals. Our college and communities will be better off as a result of your efforts.

Best wishes for a memorable, enriching, and rewarding experience at Central Community College that you will cherish for a lifetime.

Best,

Dr. Greg Smith, Central Community College - President
