The diesel technology program at Central Community College-Hastings provides the training needed to begin a high-paying career as a diesel technician.
Our students develop professional skills through hands-on work on all systems of diesel construction equipment, farm tractors and trucks, including air conditioning, computerized fuel systems, diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics and power trains. Many students also earn college credit through summer internships.
NMC - Nebraska Machinery Company, Nebraska’s only Caterpillar dealer, sponsors diesel technology students each year. Sponsorships provide tuition, fees, books and hand tools as well as summer internships. Sponsored students are obligated to work for NMC for two years following graduation.

The Nebraska Trucking Association provides two $500 scholarships each year for CCC diesel students.
The Caterpillar Foundation provides five $1,000 scholarships annually.
