Basic Landscape Painting (on Fabric)

Central Community College-Grand Island will offer a fabric painting class, "Basic Landscape Painting," from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Nebraska Nature and Visitors Center near Alda.

Students may add to the skyscape they created on Oct. 2 or buy one from the instructor. Textile artist Karen Krull-Robart will teach them how to use a variety of fabrics to create the landscape and then embellish it with embroidery, beadwork and found objects.

Preregistration is required at least a week in advance. The cost is $99. Lunch is not included.

For more information or to preregister, contact the CCC Extended Learning Services Office at (308) 398-7441; toll-free in Nebraska at 1-877-222-0780, ext. 7441; or by e-mail at elsgi@cccneb.edu.
