Central Community College-Grand Island will offer a tinsmithing class from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 in the tinsmithing shop at Stuhr Museum.
Instructor Loren Miller will teach students how to handle tools and guide them through creating their own pieces. If participants aren't sure what they want to make, they'll be able to choose from patterns for cookie cutters, cups, boxes and lunch pails.
Preregistration is required at least a week in advance. The cost is $89; however, a student may bring along one friend or family member for no additional charge. Lunch is not included.
