Admission Requirements
Central Community College is an open door college for persons 16 or older who are not enrolled in high school and who can demonstrate
the ability to benefit from a program of study.
Students need to have the following items in their file
before being accepted:
- Completed Application for Admission
- Official High School Transcript or GED certificate
- Official Transcripts of all colleges previously attended
- Record of pre-enrollment assessment if intending to pursue a degree, diploma or certificate.
Keep on track by downloading our admissions checklist.
Applying for Admission
Early application is encouraged, especially if a student plans to apply for financial aid. Prior to the semester of enrollment, submit an Application for Admission form. Have your high school and/or college transcripts, or GED scores sent. Also, send copies of your ACT or SAT scores. Students with ACT scores below 19 will be required to complete the ASSET or Compass pre-enrollment assessment. Students will be notified of their admission status.
Application for Admission
The Application for Admission can be found in the 2008-09 College Catalog. You also can apply on-line or can download an application.
Non-Degree Seeking Students
If you want to enroll in CCC courses without working toward a degree, you can call the records office to enroll in courses. No adviser will be assigned and you won't be eligible for financial aid. If you later decide to earn a degree you will need to be accepted by the college as a degree-seeking student.
Early Entry Students
If you are a high school junior or senior and are at least 16 years old, you can start earning college credits now through CCC's Early Entry program. Some classes are taught in high schools through distance learning, or you can take classes at our campuses or centers.
