Career Prep

Students of today have many important decisions to make in their lives.  And one of the most important decisions students will make is a career choice.  Locating education and training needs for that career choice will prove to be a decision that needs to be well planned.

Career Prep helps students make intelligent educational decisions in the process of acquiring skills for careers necessary in the 21st century.

Career Prep Focuses on:

1

Some type of postsecondary school education is necessary for entry into the careers of the future.

2

Two-year associate degree programs are equal in importance to the four-year baccalaureate degree.

3

Students with a vocational/technical interest area should follow a focused track of courses supported with numerous electives.

4

Students may complete a two-year associate degree program and transfer many or all hours into a four-year baccalaureate program.

5

Students who want to attend a four-year college or university need to have a broad and rigorous background of supporting high school courses.

6

Students will need science, higher level math, and communication courses in addition to a challenging selection of electives including computer skills.

7

Students need to recognize a clear relationship between high school courses and the world of work.

8

Employers are looking for work maturity.  Individuals who are dependable, punctual, accountable, responsible and loyalty as your strengths?

9

The BEST career prep includes high goals, hard work, and lifelong learning!
