Study sessions aimed at the American Society of Quality's "Certified Quality Auditor" exam.

CQT Exam

Study sessions aimed at the American Society of Quality's "Certified Quality Technician" exam.

Design of Experiments

Presents the methods used to set up and run an experiment.  This includes full and partial factorials, analysis methods, and regression techniques.

Failure Mode & Effect Analysis

The ability to use SPC methods to isolate and solve failures is stressed.  The effect of failed components is charted and compared to historical data.

Probability

Basic definition of probability, combinations and permutations, probability distribution functions, Monto Carlo methods and other subjects are covered.

Reliability

Covers the basic assumptions behind reliability.  Failure rates, the bathtub curve, and MTBF are taught with the necessary calculations.  Also covered are exponential distributions, series and parallel reliability, and reliability tests.

Statistical Process Control

Presents the basic statistical tools used in quality control.  Subjects covered are control charts, capability, histograms, average and standard deviation.

Statistical Process Control II

Covers gauge reproducibility  and repeatability studies and how they are performed, capability indices for non-normal distributions, and sampling techniques per MIL-STD-105.

Tools and Gauging

The basic tools used in industry to make measurements are taught by the hands-on method.  These include gauge blocks, micrometers, voltmeters, and dial indicators.  Some select non-destructive tests are also included.

Quality Audit

Covers the purpose and philosophy of quality audits.  The type of audits covered are: product audit, process audit, and system audit.  Proper reporting of audit results is covered in detail.
