    Heating, air conditioning and refrigeration workers are skilled technicians who install, maintain and repair a wide range of equipment used to control temperature, humidity and air quality.

    The number of jobs in this field is expected grow by 24 percent in the decade ending in 2020, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Job prospects in this field are expected to be excellent, particularly for those with training in the latest equipment and technology.  

    The Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program is available at CCC-Hastings. 

    The program covers all aspects of this industry and also provides students the opportunity to specialize in heating and air conditioning, residential refrigeration or commercial refrigeration.

    • At 2017-18 tuition and fee rates, completing the 62 credits required for the Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration degree costs:

      Nebraska residents - $6,200
      Non-residents - $8,928

      These costs are for tuition and fees only for the program of study as listed in the CCC online catalog. It does not include the cost of foundations courses, retaking courses or taking courses in addition to those required for the degree. It does not include the cost of books, supplies, tools, computers or other items that may be required.
