Starting and Developing Your Small Business


For more hands-on and in-depth information, join the college as it presents workshops. These workshops offer participants a very detailed and real-life look at what entrepreneurship is, what the risks are of owning a business and how to anticipate and overcome challenges. Many of the topics covered are taught by local professionals who have experience that adds to the workshop environment. These workshops are targeted to potential and current business owners, traditional students and adult learners. Topics that are often covered are:

QuickBooks® Training

Our Certified Public Accountant leads participants through training on QuickBooks for businesses.  Participants will create a company, use the check register, generate estimates and invoices, track credit cards, pay bills, create reports and memorize transactions.  Learn to handle assets and liabilities, and create and manage a budget.
