Academics and Programs

Central Community College is the smart choice for continuing your education because of the variety of options we provide.

  • You can prepare for a great career in two years or less through one of our career and technical education programs or complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree through our academic tranfser program. See what we have to offer and then go to our online catalog for program requirements and course descriptions.
  • Courses are offered at our Columbus, Grand Island and Hastings campuses and Holdrege, Kearney and Lexington centers.
  • Classes are offered in communities throughout our 25-county service area through our Extended Learning Services division, including business and workforce development, conferences and workshops, health education, professional licensure classes, traffic safety, youth programs and more.

  • Degrees and courses are offered online.

  • The Adult Education program includes Adult Basic Education for people with less than eighth-grade skills; English as a Second Language (ESL) for people who want to learn to speak, read and write English; and citizenship classes.

  • If you are still in high school, you can take advantage of our Early College program, the Central Nebraska Career Academy, the CCC Industrial Academy and high school articulation (Tech Pep) agreements to earn college credit and get a head start toward achieving your educational and career goals.
