Fund-Raising Activities
Central Community College Foundation spearheads some appeals in conjunction with the Central Community College Alumni Association to help raise funds for CCC scholarships and programs.
· Alumni Appeal is sent to a group of CCC alumni (degree or diploma recipient) each year and focuses on various program majors each year. Groups which have been appealed to in the past are: Electrical Technology, Electronics Technology, Industrial Technology/Mechatronics, Practical Nursing, Machine Tool Technology, Medical Assisting, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Advanced Manufacturing Design Technology, Construction Technology, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Dental Lab Technology, Drafting & Design Technology, Quality Control, Welding Technology, Building & Grounds Maintenance, Commercial Horticulture, Dietetic Technology, Early Childhood Education, Family & Consumer Science, Hotel/Motel/Restaurant Management and Human Services..
Yearend Appeal is sent to individuals, companies and organizations within the 25-county service area of CCC. This appeal is one of the major sources of funds for scholarships for the following year. This appeal raised over $127,000 in 2012.
· CCC Employee Appeal is distributed to all employees of Central Community College. This appeal contributes also significantly to the ability of the Foundation to distribute scholarships and to help fund various programs at CCC. This appeal raised over $60,000 in 2012.
CCC Foundation Appreciation Luncheon
The 4th Annual CCC Foundation Appreciation Luncheon will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2013 on the Hastings Campus. The Appreciation Luncheon will feature testimonials from a scholarship recipient and other donors, plus other entertainment as well. The event will feature a new theme this year. The event will also feature select tours on the campus. Space is limited so tickets will be on a first reserve, first serve basis. · Individual Tickets will be $15 each.
· Appreciation Sponsorship at $300. This includes 8 guests, name of organization/person on table, name on the program AND special signage at the event featuring your organization’s logo, if available.
Approximately $5,000 was raised from the 2012 event for student scholarship support. In 2014, the event will be held on the Grand Island Campus.
Pro/Am Golf Tournament
The 21st Annual Pro/Am Golf Tournament will be held Monday, September 16, 2013 at the Riverside Country Club in Grand Island. There are opportunities to: · Golf at $150 per player. OR be a
· Green Sponsor at $1,000. This includes a team of 4 golfers, tee box sign, name in the golfing brochure and special signage at the entrance and at the social hour following the golf outing. OR be a
· Fairway Sponsor at $600. This includes 2 golfers, tee box sign and name listed in the golfing brochure. OR be a
· Tee-box Sponsor at $300. This includes a tee box sign on golf course and name listed in the golfing brochure.
Over $10,000 was raised from the 2012 event for student scholarship support. In 2014, the event will be held at the Lochland Golf Course in Hastings.
