    The electrical technology program offered at the Grand Island and Hastings campuses provides the fundamental knowledge needed for employment as a construction electrician, industrial electrician, electric motor service person, and equipment sales person.

    Increased use of technology means homes, business and other buildings need more wiring than ever before. In addition, there is a growing need for electricians to install new components and to maintain electrical equipment.

    The construction electrician associate of applied science degree provides a well-rounded education in the skills needed for employment in the construction industry.

    After completing an apprenticeship, graduates are prepared to pass the examinations required to become journeyman and master electricians.

    Gainful Employment Information 

    • At 2017-18 tuition and fee rates, completing the 66 credits required for the Electrical Technology degree costs:

      Nebraska residents - $6,600
      Non-residents - $9,504

      These costs are for tuition and fees only for the program of study as listed in the CCC online catalog. It does not include the cost of foundations courses, retaking courses or taking courses in addition to those required for the degree. It does not include the cost of books, supplies, tools, computers or other items that may be required.

    • Finish in 2 years by completing 16-17 credits a semester for 4 semesters

It does not include the cost of foundations courses that may be required based on COMPASS, ASSET or ACT scores, retaking courses or taking courses that are not required by your program of study.
