The office of Institutional Research 

The Institutional Research (IR) department is the primary research and reporting asset that provides support to all customers with the intent of forwarding the Central Community College Mission, Vision, and goals.

 

Mission

The department provides quantitative and qualitative data/analysis to facilitate college decision-making, planning, assessment and institutional effectiveness efforts, strategic planning and accreditation efforts, collaborative activities with peer institutions/organizations and any external stakeholders. 

 

Goals and Objectives

  • Providing technical support and information on research methodology, survey design and the reliability/validity of survey instruments.
  • Developing and maintaining information resources that support the regular and ad hoc research needs of the College.
  • Conducting and developing surveys to support College decision making. (Student Survey of Instruction, Community College Student & Faculty Survey of Engagement, and Central Community College Employee Engagement Survey)
  • Supporting the development of the college-wide strategic plan including the reporting of institutional outcomes and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
  • Supporting Assessment of Student Learning processes in the College and provide leadership to the Colleges accreditation activities.
  • Collecting necessary data and completing timely and accurate reports mandated by federal, state and local agencies including the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and Gainful Employment/Right to know reporting to the Department of Education.
