“Stagecoach” will be the featured movie in March for the Beyond the Screen series and the Friday Afternoon Movie Club at Central Community College-Grand Island. It will be shown at 6:30 p.m. on March 7 and at 1 p.m. on March 9.

This 1939 western is set in the 1880s and follows a motley group of passengers as they travel in an Overland stagecoach to Lordsburg in the New Mexico Territory. On their journey through the Wild West, they face the threat of an escaped outlaw and an Apache attack.

Both the Wednesday and Friday movie series are offered free of charge and are open to people who enjoy watching and discussing movies. The movies will be followed by a discussion with CCC English instructor Jim Kosmicki serving as moderator.
