Next Beyond the Screen Classes Set for Dec. 6 & 8 in Grand Island

November 16, 2017

“Prancer” will be the featured movie in December in the “Beyond the Screen” series at Central Community College-Grand Island.

The movie will be shown twice: at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 6 and at 1 p.m. on Dec. 8.

The 1989 drama tells the story of Jessica Riggs, a child who still believes in Santa Claus and thinks an injured reindeer she finds in the forest is Prancer. A kind veterinarian agrees to help her take care of the animal, but big problems ensue for both Jessica and her family when the town finds out about the situation.

The “Beyond the Screen” series is offered free of charge and is open to people who enjoy watching and discussing movies. The movies will be followed by a discussion with CCC English instructor Jim Kosmicki serving as moderator.
