    The N-PACE program at Central Community College is pleased to offer its first-ever training and education awards in precision agriculture. For students interested in being part of this exciting tech-driven, ag-based future, the N-PACE program offers a number of industry-aligned options to help get you where you want to go. N-PACE is short for Nebraska Precision Ag Center for Excellence.

    The N-PACE program at Central Community College has been carefully designed with the flexibility to meet your individual goals, while providing you with the knowledge, skills and competencies you’ll need to pursue a rewarding career in precision agriculture. Program awards include an associate of applied science degree, a diploma, and two special certificates, as outlined below. Students interested in continuing their studies at a four-year college can do so as well through the College’s transfer program.  

    Associate of Applied Science Degree

    Agricultural Sciences-Precision Agriculture (64 credit hours)

    The Precision Agriculture degree is designed for graduates who wish to pursue successful careers in precision agriculture.  This program of study provides graduates with the knowledge, skills, and competencies to evaluate and apply a whole-farm strategy utilizing precision-based systems and information technologies to improve crop and range management in an economical and environmentally sustainable way.

    Precision Agriculture Diploma (33 credit hours)

    The Precision Agriculture diploma is for students wishing to develop entry-level skills in precision agriculture.  The diploma also prepares students to progress into the degree program.

    Certificates

    Precision Application Certificate (12 credit hours)

    The Precision Application certificate provides students with the basic knowledge of precision agricultural tools, including GPS, grid samples, moisture probes, sensors and controls for collecting field data, integrating controllers with equipment, and applying application plans for production agriculture. This certificate also prepares students to progress into the diploma and/or degree programs.

    Precision Mapping Certificate (12 credit hours)

    The Precision Mapping certificate provides students with a basic knowledge of variable rate prescription plans, calculating financial return on investment, mapping, GIS, and geospatial analysis.  This certificate also prepares students to progress into the diploma and/or degree programs.
