Heavy Equipment Operator Technician

  • HEOTHeavy equipment operators are highly skilled technicians who operate large industrial moving equipment designed to construct roads, do land leveling, and pipe laying among other activities. The high demand for such skilled technicians in Central Nebraska has led CCC and industry leaders to create Nebraska’s first heavy equipment operations program. The first classes will begin with the fall 2016 semester.

    Gainful Employment Information

    • At 2017-18 tuition and fee rates, the cost for completing the 61 credits required for the Heavy Equipment Operator Technician Degree costs:

      Nebraska Resident - $6,100
      Nonresident - $8,784 

      These costs are for tuition and fees only for the program of study as listed in the CCC online catalog. It does not include the cost of foundations courses, retaking courses or taking courses in addition to those required for the degree. It does not include the cost of books, supplies, tools, computers or other items that may be required.

    • Finish in 2 years by completing 15-16 credits a semester for 4 semesters

      The length of time to complete the degree is based on a student taking only the courses required for the program as listed in our online catalog. It does not include the cost of foundations courses that may be required based on COMPASS, ASSET or ACT scores, retaking courses or taking courses that are not required by your program of study.
